When in AR, you'll be commanding them remotely but letting them "do their thing." When in VR, you'll command a couple to do their thing, but you'll inhabit one in particular to do something special. You're going to be focusing on either AR drone operations, or VR drone controlling. (Seattle, Seattle Airspace, Seattle waterways, Highways, pedestrian walkways, that sort of thing.) For Attributes, you'll want Reaction, Logic, Agility, and Intuition. You'll also want Navigation, Electronic Warfare, Perception, Hardware, Computer, Sneaking, Gunnery, Tracking, and several Area Knowledges. As you'll be doing this remotely, you're going to want them at least in the 2-3 range for every Pilot skill you pick up. (Recommended, but not essential.) If you feel like rounding out Piloting skills, pick up Watercraft. For flavor's sake, pick up Pilot Walker as well, but it's not essential. You'll want Pilot Ground and Pilot Aircraft skills, but only one should be above 4. Two skills, low demand on resources, and can be squeezed into a standard build anywhere.ĭrone-o-mancer: You focus on doing things by remote, so you'll look into getting the Control Rig (first build so far to possibly need it), an RCC, a bunch of drones, and some skills. You'll only have to worry about meatspace driving and issuing commands to your vehicles via commlinks (or occasionally using your commlink as a game controller for AR driving), but that's fine. Wheelman's the most straight-forward: you get Pilot Groundcraft (or pilot skills of choice), get some Reaction enhancers, bump your Reaction and Agility as much as you can (Reaction to drive, Agility to shoot), and sit in the seat to drive. So, there are three ways to make a rigger: Cockpit Queen, Wheelman, or Drone-o-mancer. "Watch your back, shoot straight, conserve ammo, and never, ever, cut a deal with a dragon."Īlright, at a keyboard. Living Community (Where you can play online) Subreddits For that please check out /r/ShadowrunReturns for help. Sadly our nova hot community isn't the best place to discuss the mechanics discussion or troubleshooting the video games. Mostly the pen and paper role playing game, but also the deck building card game, video games, and literature of Shadowrun. Discussion is primarily aimed at exploring narratives found in the Sixth World. Here at /r/Shadowrun we talk shop about all things in the shadows.
